Triton Media Group Acquires Radio Companion

Los Angeles, CA – June 30, 2008 – Triton Media Group, the leading supplier of digital products and services to the media industry, announced today the acquisition of Radio Companion, a web application and tools company.

Radio Companion’s tools and technology solutions were developed to allow broadcast stations to tap into new revenue streams in local markets, currently the fastest growing revenue category for radio. Built with a modular approach which works with any station’s hosting provider, “City Site USA”, “Broadcast Results Search” and “My Studio Link “ are some of Radio Companion’s most notable product offerings.

Neal Schore, President and CEO of Triton commented, “We’ve admired the Radio Companions tools and team for some time now and it’s great to complete this transaction and welcome them to the Triton family. The Radio Companion applications have delivered significant revenue to their client stations. We look forward to providing these exciting products to Triton’s rapidly expanding affiliate base.”

Mike Agovino, Triton Media’s COO commented, “Triton’s commitment to providing ‘best of breed’ digital content and services has helped to make us the leader in this space. That tradition continues with the acquisition of Radio Companion. Chris Peaslee and Tom Pinkus, Radio Companion Co-Founders, are both radio experts and technologists. Having spent many years inside the walls of radio stations as managers, producers, writers and web developers, they have developed all of their products with a practical understanding of the usage, impact and revenue potential for radio.

Peaslee and Pinkus commented, “We’re excited to join Neal, Mike and the entire Triton Media team. Triton is a forward-thinking company dedicated to taking traditional and digital media to the next level. This is a perfect fit for the solutions we build, which are designed to work within the fabric of the radio station by integrating into their existing workflow and always supporting the mission and daily challenges of each department within the station. We are first and foremost radio guys, and we’ve dedicated ourselves to building custom solutions for radio, rather than trying to force technology that was built for other purposes. Everything that we launch has radio baked into its core DNA.”
